Using your vision plan
You can see any vision care provider you want, but your vision plan benefits will go further when you visit one of the almost 40,000 doctors in the VSP network. To find a VSP doctor near you, visit the VSP website.
When you schedule your appointment, mention that you’re a VSP member. Your provider will verify your coverage with VSP (no ID card needed) and bill VSP directly. You’ll just pay any applicable copays, costs for non-covered services, and any amount over the benefit maximum.
With vision plan coverage, you can also enjoy discounted hearing services through TruHearing. You’ll receive personalized care from a licensed TruHearing provider and have access to hearing aids that fit your lifestyle, featuring the latest sound enhancement technology. For details, check out this TruHearing flyer.
If you choose to visit an out-of-network provider, you’ll pay the full cost of services up front and then submit a claim to VSP for partial reimbursement. Claims must be submitted within one year of service.
