2027 Annual Enrollment

Helping you thrive and live your best life is important to us. Your State Farm benefits help support the people and priorities that matter most to you. Annual enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to make benefits choices that support you and your family.

Enroll November 11–25, 2026

Whether your needs have changed or stayed the same, this is a good time to make sure your benefits continue to support the next chapter of your story.

Beginning November 11, you can review and make changes to your benefits through the My State Farm Benefits Resource website (auto sign-on with SSO | log in).

Knowledge is power

The annual enrollment benefits fair runs November 10–19, with recorded sessions available beginning November 16. Join a live session to learn more and get answers to your questions, or watch a recorded session when it works for you.

Not sure if you’re eligible?

What’s changing

Like a story, life unfolds one chapter at a time. As your needs change, your benefits may need to change, too.

For 2027, you’ll continue to have the same medical, dental, and vision plans to choose from, all designed to meet your unique needs.

As you make your medical plan choice, consider your individual needs, budget, and how you expect to use health care services in the coming year. Review what’s changing for the year ahead, and use the plan comparison chart [PDF] (with updates in bold red) to compare all four medical plans and find the one that’s best for you.

Your costs for coverage

Although the cost of care continues to increase, State Farm absorbs much of this increase and continues to pay 80% or more of your health care premiums. It’s another way we continue to invest in you. See your monthly rates by zip code.

  • HRA: If you leave the BCBSIL PPO, you will forfeit any existing HRA balance.
  • HSA: If you leave the BCBSIL QHDHP, you'll keep your HSA and can continue to use the money in it to cover eligible expenses now and in the future. However, you won't be able to contribute to the account.
  • HCFSA: If you have a General Purpose Health Care FSA (HCFSA) and choose to enroll in the QHDHP for 2027, unused HCFSA funds that carry over will transition to a Limited Purpose FSA. Funds in a Limited Purpose FSA can be used only for eligible dental and vision expenses.

Other benefits to consider

Contribute to a Dependent Care FSA

If you expect to have child care or elder care expenses in 2027, consider setting aside pre-tax dollars in a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCSFA) to make your paycheck go further. You won’t pay taxes on the funds you contribute to your DCFSA, but you will need to use all the money you set aside by December 31, 2027, or it will be forfeited. You have until March 31, 2028, to submit eligible claims incurred during 2027.

For 2027, you can set aside:

  • Up to $7,500 if you’re married and file joint tax returns or you’re single
  • Up to $3,750 if you’re married and file separate returns

Elect your 2027 Health Care FSA contributions

Set aside up to the IRS limit in pre-tax dollars for eligible health care expenses in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA). You can carry over $30–$550 of unused 2026 funds into 2027.

Add life and voluntary AD&D insurance

If contingency planning is a priority, annual enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to purchase life insurance and voluntary accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance for yourself, your spouse or domestic partner, and your children. The plans pay a benefit to your designated beneficiaries upon death or to the insured upon the loss of a limb.

Don’t miss the deadline

If you’re currently contributing to a Health Care FSA, you have until December 31, 2026, to incur eligible expenses and until March 31, 2027, to submit claims for reimbursement.

You can carry over an unused balance of $30 to $550 into 2027. However, you’ll forfeit any remaining balance under $30 or any amount exceeding $550 that you don’t use by December 31, 2026.

Ready to enroll? Take action by November 25

The choices you make today can help you prepare for what’s ahead. Complete the following steps during annual enrollment, November 11–25, 2026, by visiting the My State Farm Benefits Resource website (auto sign-on with SSO | log in):

Make your tobacco election. If you and/or your spouse or partner uses tobacco, you will pay an additional $50 per month for your medical coverage in 2027. When you complete the tobacco cessation program through the EAP (GuidanceResources) in 2027, you will no longer pay the additional $50 per month for your medical coverage.

New! Confirm the date of your physician visit or lab work. If these were completed between November 1, 2025, and October 31, 2026, a $15 monthly wellness incentive will be applied to your 2027 health care premium.

Enroll in your 2027 benefits by November 25 on the My State Farm Benefits Resource website (auto sign-on with SSO | log in). Once you submit your elections, you will receive a confirmation email. Add or remove dependents, as needed. Make sure the dependents you want to cover are eligible and listed under each plan and that their Social Security numbers are correct.

If you contribute to a Health Care FSA or a Dependent Care FSA, elect your contributions for 2027. Your 2026 FSA elections will not roll over to 2027.

If you have a Health Savings Account, elect your contribution amount for 2027. You can increase your contributions to reach the higher HSA maximum for 2027. Your 2026 HSA elections will not roll over to 2027.
